Edward C. Tai, Senior Vice President
Edward Tai joined Island Capital Group in 2008 as a Senior Vice President in its Real Estate Investment and Finance Group. Prior to Island Capital, Mr. Tai held several positions in the CMBS industry with JPMorgan, Babson Capital, Charter Research (acquired by Standard & Poor’s) and State Street Bank. While at JPMorgan, he served as a Vice President in the Securitized Products Group, where he focused primarily on CMBS securitizations and subordinate debt distribution. At Babson Capital, his primary duties included the analytics, investment and management of their $4 billion CMBS portfolio. With Island Capital, Mr. Tai currently focuses on acquisition activities for its new debt-focused investment fund, Island Fund III. He received a MBA degree in 2002 from Boston College, Carroll Graduate School of Management and a B.S. in Finance from Pennsylvania State University in 1996.
